Dedicated to your Next Carolina Adventure

I’ve been exploring and calling the Piedmont of North Carolina home for almost 24 years. This state has everything to offer including a stunning natural environment. Join me as I share some of my favorite spots in the state. My goal here is to capture my experiences and bring them to you.

From navigating Mountain Island Lake, the Uwharrie National Forest, and other areas near the Charlotte metro, I have built quite the list. Charlotte and the Carolinas are full of unique natural sites that you cannot experience anywhere else in the world.

My content features quick blog articles like the Hidden Gems series, full detailed guides in Comprehensive Guides, and even a look into the data side of our world in Environmental Data. Stay awhile, look around and most of all, enjoy your day!

Why Explore the Carolina Piedmont?

The Piedmont of North and South Carolina is one of those unique places that often gets forgotten about. Its foothills landscape of sprawling forest with the occasional rocky formation has it as another distinct region that makes the United States so beautiful. But, it’s often forgotten about. People move here for job opportunities in cities like Charlotte, Greensboro, Columbia, and Raleigh. The Carolina Piedmont is never a destination for its landscape.

People are missing out. The most interesting places I’ve explored have been within the Carolina Piedmont. Places like the Uwharries, the Catawba River, and even smaller places like Mountain Creek Park all share this unique vibe.

If you are new to the area, plan to pass through, or making the Carolina Piedmont a destination, then welcome! Of course, locals are also welcomed here. I am of course one. This blog gives you the inside take of some of my favorite places to explore. I hope you enjoy them too!
